Dawid is a lawyer at Koskie Glavin Gordon who represents a variety of unions covering numerous industries – from forestry to office workers – in all matters labour relations and civil litigation.

Before becoming a labour lawyer, Dawid worked at a leading national law firm in the commercial litigation group. He also worked at a civil litigation boutique as an insurance lawyer and represented clients on complex matters at trial, mediation, and discoveries. Almost all of Dawid’s civil cases involved testimony from multiple experts and complex medical evidence.

In 2020, Dawid joined Koskie Glavin Gordon, as a labour lawyer and civil litigator. He found his passion in tirelessly advocating for unions at arbitration hearings, before the BC and Canada labour relations board, and the BC human rights tribunal. Dawid has worked on several complex labour cases and disputes involving human rights, discrimination, disability, termination, benefits, plant closures, constitutional matters, job classification, workplace safety, union certifications, strikes, unfair labour practices, internal union matters, and common employer declarations, to name a few.

In his unique position as a labour lawyer and civil litigator, Dawid has represented unions in the BC Supreme Court, the BC Court of Appeal, and in the Supreme Court of Canada. In the courts, he has advocated for unions on matters including union elections, defamation, pension and benefits, insolvency and bankruptcy, and creditors’ remedies.

Dawid is a Vice-President of British Columbia of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers. He also sits on the board of directors for West End Seniors Network, a Vancouver organization dedicated to empowering and supporting older adults in the community.
