Dayna Steinfeld is a partner at RavenLaw LLP and is Lead Lawyer at RavenLaw’s Winnipeg office. She practices exclusively on behalf of unions, union members and employees in all areas touching the workplace, including human rights. Dayna represents unions in provincial and federal labour proceedings, including arbitrations and unfair labour practice complaints. She regularly represents union members and employees in provincial and federal human rights proceedings. Her legal advocacy aims to advance the rights of workers in all areas of the law that touch the workplace.

Dayna is a sessional instructor at the University of Manitoba’s Robson Hall Faculty of Law, teaching an upper-year seminar on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. In 2022, she was awarded the Advocates Society David Stockwood Memorial prize for her article examining the challenge for union-side lawyers when cross-examining a union member called as an employer witness in a case involving an allegation of sexual harassment in the workplace. Dayna has been recognized as a Lexpert Rising Star. In 2019, she was awarded the Manitoba Pro Bono Award for her work representing a coalition of poverty and mental health organizations on significant constitutional privacy issues before the Supreme Court of Canada.
