Doug Sanderson is an adjudicator, mediator and investigator, practicing through Douglas Sanderson Dispute Resolution. Prior to starting his private practice as a neutral, Mr. Sanderson practiced labour and employment law with a major international law firm, representing and advising employers in a variety of matters.

Mr. Sanderson was a Vice-Chair at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario from January 2011 to January 2021. As a Vice-Chair, he mediated and adjudicated hundreds of cases under the Ontario Human Rights Code, including cases concerning workplace harassment and discrimination and the duty to accommodate. Mr. Sanderson also worked an in-house role at a major Canadian bank for several years. In that role, he addressed all manner of employee relations issues, including employment litigation and conducting workplace investigations.

In addition to his private practice, Mr. Sanderson is a part-time Deputy Presiding Officer at the Ontario Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal, as well as an external adjudicator for the Canadian Industrial Relations Board adjudicating under Part III the Canada Labour Code, and an external mediator for the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal mediating complaints under the Canadian Human Rights Act.
