Mr. Yee is a national representative for the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) in their Burnaby, British Columbia office. He is the pension and airline coordinator in British Columbia and has over 25 years of experience in labour relations and contract administration.
In Mr. Yee’s role as the CUPE pension coordinator, he takes the lead on pension issues in British Columbia. He has worked with defined benefit, defined contribution, and hybrid pension plans.
He is currently vice-chair of the BC Municipal Pension Plan, the largest pension plan in British Columbia and the sixth-largest in Canada. Mr. Yee also has other board roles. He is a trustee on the Multi-Sector Pension Plan, a target benefit plan in Ontario. He is also the independent Board Chair for the Grande Prairie Firefighters Supplemental Pension Plan in Alberta. Mr. Yee is also a director on the BC Pension Corporation Board, which is the crown corporation responsible for pension plan administration of the public pension funds in British Columbia.
