Hasan Alam is a Staff Lawyer at the B.C. Government and Service Employees’ Union (BCGEU), where he practises in the areas of labour, human rights, and employment law. Prior to joining the BCGEU, Hasan worked for a Vancouver labour firm and completed his articles at the B.C. Public Interest Advocacy Centre. He is also a supervising lawyer at the Archway Community Services Legal Advocacy Program, a legal clinic that assists individuals and families with low income levels.

Hasan is a Vice-President of the B.C. chapter of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers (CALL). He is also the Vice-President of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL BC) and an executive board member of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association (BCCLA).

Hasan holds a B.A from Simon Fraser University and a J.D. from the University of Calgary. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2012.
