Jagtaran Singh is legal counsel at the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC). His work includes litigation and advice on a number strategic public interest and human rights matters, including the intersection of human rights and artificial intelligence, policing, housing, and more. He is the counsel lead of the OHRC’s AI and human rights work.

Jagtaran was previously executive advisor to then OHRC Chief Commissioner (now Justice) Renu Mandhane. Before that, he was senior advisor to Attorney General and Government House Leader of Ontario, Hon. Yasir Naqvi. Jagtaran also spent time as a litigator at a national law firm in Toronto before completing his LL.M. at Columbia University in New York, where he also worked as an advisor to the Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations.

Jagtaran is admitted to the bar in Ontario and New York.
