Jake Axelrod is a partner at Nugent Law Office, where he practises labour and employment law. Jakes advises unions and employees across various industries in both the private and public sectors on a wide range of workplace issues. He has appeared before grievance arbitrators, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, all levels of court in Alberta, and other tribunals. While the majority of Jake’s practice involves labour matters in unionized contexts, he also acts for employees in non-unionized workplaces with regard to dismissals, discrimination issues, non-competition clauses, benefits claims, and other employment matters.
Jake holds a B.A. and M.I.R. from Queen’s University, and a J.D. from the University of Victoria.
