Jerry Raso has been in-house Counsel with the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association since 2010 and is presently Head of its Legal Department. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1988 and since then has practiced union-side labour law, representing trade unions and their members. His practice includes grievance arbitration and appearing before the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO). He has acted as counsel before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, other administrative tribunals, and arbitration hearings on a wide variety of labour and employment law issues. Jerry is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers (CALL), the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), and the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education (CAPSLE). He has spoken on many labour and administrative law issues at various conferences.
