Jessica Upshaw MacKenzie holds a Bachelor of Commerce Co-op degree from Dalhousie University (2004) and is a 2010 grad of Dalhousie Law School. After her first year of law school, Jessica attended the Queen’s University International law program in the United Kingdom and received her certificate in international Human Rights Law. She summered, articled, and was hired on at McInnes Cooper (Halifax) where she practiced corporate, tax, and estate planning for almost five years. Jessica made the jump to in-house practice with NS Power in 2015, where she currently handles a wide range of files, but spends a large portion of her time practising labour and employment and corporate commercial law. Jessica spends her free time going on adventures with her husband, their three daughters and their dog, Lupe. Jessica also loves reading and traveling.
