Jim Petrie is the Director of Labour Relations for Alberta’s largest union: the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE). In this role, he oversees AUPE’s operations in the Negotiations, Essential Services, Organizing, and Education departments. Jim has acted as the union’s lead negotiator at all of its major bargaining tables for Government Services, and the Health Care and Education sectors. His more than 35 years of experience included appearances before arbitrators in both interest and rights arbitrations, in Labour Relations Board matters, and other tribunals.
