Over the course of her career, Judith (Judy) Begley has represented employers, unions, and employees in all aspects of labour and employment law. She has appeared before the Federal Court, all levels of provincial/superior courts, and before a variety of administrative tribunals. However, her more recent career has been directed towards alternative dispute resolution processes. Judy is an experienced workplace investigator, mediator, and assessor, and has worked in those capacities across Atlantic Canada in a variety of sectors.

Judy has been called to the Bar in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario. She is a member of Council for the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Law Society of New Brunswick (LSNB) Ethics Committee, and the Board of Governors for University of New Brunswick. She is a past chair of the LSNB Competence Committee. She is a two-time past-president of the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education and was awarded an honourary life membership by that Association in April 2014 for her contributions. She is extremely proud to have also been made an honourary member of IAFF Local 5087, the Miramichi Professional Firefighters Association (complete with a custom-made helmet), in recognition of her years of service as legal advisor to that organization and its members.
