Dr. Ryan is a registered psychologist serving children, adolescents, and adults in the Ottawa region. She attended McGill University to obtain an honors degree Psychology (B.Sc.) and subsequently completed a combined M.A./Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Carleton University. Her research focus has been on social-emotional and academic functioning in the neurodivergent population. Dr. Ryan has experience working in community, hospital, and school settings, providing comprehensive therapeutic assessments and intervention services.
In 2022, Dr. Ryan established her own practice to apply her experience and skills to address community needs, particularly in providing neurodivergent-affirming care. As the clinical director of the practice, she supervises and consults with clinicians, manages clinic operations, and develops guidelines to ensure high-quality, inclusive mental health care. Dr. Ryan provides a variety of professional development services to individuals and groups to enhance their knowledge of the needs of the neurodiverse population.
Diagnosed with autism and ADHD herself, Dr. Ryan is committed to increasing access to equitable, neurodivergent-affirming supports for the autistic and neurodivergent population across Ontario, with a particular emphasis on the integration of lived experience and professional insight.
