Justin P’ng is a Privacy and Data Management Associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in Toronto. He maintains a broad practice in privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI) matters. He regularly acts as breach counsel in cyber incidents, including ransomware attacks and business email compromises, and advises clients on investigation and remediation issues. He previously practised at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP with both the Labour, Employment & Human Rights group and the Privacy and Cybersecurity group. At Fasken, Justin advised organizations on various privacy, cybersecurity, and workplace law matters, including privacy policies and procedures, data processing agreements, privacy impact assessments, incident response planning, regulatory compliance, employee privacy, and workplace investigations.
Justin holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and an LL.M. from Georgetown Law where he was a National Security Law Scholar. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019 and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for Canada (CIPP/C) and the United States (CIPP/US) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
