Karen Segal is a lawyer at Allevato Quail and Roy (AQR), where she practises labour, human rights, and administrative law. Prior to joining AQR, Karen worked in as in-house counsel at a major Ontario union and as staff lawyer at the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund, a national feminist non-profit. In her spare time, she volunteers as a sub-committee chair for Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights. Karen has appeared at various levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and at administrative tribunals.

Karen holds her law degree from the University of British Columbia, where she received numerous awards including in labour relations, constitutional law, and advocacy, and for her contributions to feminism in the law.
