Kirby Smith is an associate with Koskie Glavin Gordon where she works primarily in the areas of labour, human rights, class action, and administrative law. Kirby acts on behalf of a wide range of clients and has significant experience advising on issues related to contract interpretation, labour board applications, and workers compensation and disability benefits claims. Prior to joining Koskie Glavin Gordon, Kirby worked for a large B.C. union and as a Crown Prosecutor in Alberta. She also mediated and adjudicated employment standards disputes as an Industrial Relations Officer with the B.C. Employment Standards Branch, before returning to her litigation practice. 

Kirby obtained her B.A. (Honours) from the University of British Columbia and her B.C.L./LL.B. from McGill University. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2014.
