Kristan McLeod practises labour, employment, professional regulation, and human rights law at the Chivers Carpenter firm in Alberta. She appears before arbitration boards, provincial and federal labour boards, courts of various levels, and administrative tribunals, including the Workers’ Compensation Board and the Occupational Health and Safety Board. Kristan presents frequently on labour and employment matters. Her clients are as diverse as her peripatetic working life before law, in which she worked as a tech writer, trainer, business analyst, arts marketer, shutdown crew member, office temp, civil servant, and server. She articled with Alberta’s Court of Appeal and Court of Queen’s Bench.
Kristan holds an LL.B. from the University of Alberta (2004). She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2006 and the Northwest Territories Bar in 2007.
