Laura Dunnigan is a trusted advisor to employers in both the public and private sectors. She regularly advises clients across a broad range of industries, including energy, construction, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, hospitality, natural resources, private equity, transportation, and technology.
Laura brings extensive experience in all areas of workplace law and is known for providing practical, strategic advice that aligns with her clients’ business and operational objectives. Her practice encompasses all aspects of the employment relationship, including contract and policy development and implementation, complex terminations, workplace complaints and investigations, privacy, labour and employee relations, workplace health and safety, disability management, and alcohol and drug testing.
In addition to her advisory work, Laura is a skilled advocate with significant litigation experience, including wrongful dismissal claims, privacy complaints, and human rights matters. She has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and regularly represents clients before administrative tribunals, including provincial and federal employment standards bodies, labour boards, human rights commissions, and privacy commissioners.
