Laura is a trusted advisors to numerous employers in both the public and private sector. She regularly assists clients in the energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, hospitality, natural resource, private equity, transportation and technology industries.
Laura brings a wealth of experience to clients in all areas of workplace law and takes pride in working with clients to achieve practical solutions that align with their business and operational goals. She regularly provides strategic advice to clients in respect of all issues related to the employment relationship, including contract and policy development and implementation, workplace complaints and investigations, privacy, general employee and labour relations, workplace health and safety, disability management, and alcohol and drug testing.
In addition to her advisory practice, Laura is an effective advocate for clients and is well versed in litigation, including wrongful dismissal, privacy complaints and human rights claims. She has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta and regularly represent clients at administrative tribunals, including provincial and federal employment standards commissions, human rights commissions, and privacy commissions.
