Laura Freitag practises in all of areas management-side employment, labour, and human rights law at Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP. Laura provides strategic and proactive advice to help employers develop practical solutions to navigate workplace issues. She regularly advises employers on a range of issues, including dismissals and discipline, employment contracts and policies, and human rights and accommodation issues.
Laura has developed a particular expertise in litigation and regularly represents employers in grievance arbitrations, employment litigation, human rights tribunal proceedings, and confidential arbitration. Laura frequently appears before courts and tribunals and has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario.
Laura’s clients operate in a variety of sectors, including retail, manufacturing, technology, government services, financial services, and professional services. Laura frequently speaks at conferences and seminars on a variety of workplace issues.
Laura holds a B.A. (Hons.) from McGill University and a J.D. from the University of Ottawa. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016.
