Leah Kutcher is a labour and employment lawyer with the Nova Scotia Teachers Union (NSTU), which represents all public school teachers in Nova Scotia. In this role, she advises on all areas of labour and employment law and has particular experience in discipline and discharge matters, grievance arbitration, contract interpretation, negotiation, workplace investigations, human rights, and accommodations. As in-house counsel at the NSTU, Leah also advises on issues pertaining to union governance, bylaws, and internal policies. Prior to joining the NSTU as in-house counsel, she articled and practised law with McInnes Cooper in Halifax.

Leah holds a B.A. (Hons.) from Dalhousie University and an LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2012.

She is a member of the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education.
