Leanne Monsma started her legal career by clerking at the Alberta Court of King’s Bench. She then joined Field Law in Edmonton and practised in the areas of human rights, administrative, labour, and privacy law. Leanne later moved to Vancouver where she practised in the same areas at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP before joining the University of British Columbia as legal counsel. Leanne recently rejoined Field Law and is once again practising in the areas of human rights, administrative, labour, and privacy law. Leanne has appeared before all levels of court and various commissions, tribunals, and boards.
Leanne has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University College London. In her LL.M., she focused her studies on the intersection of human rights and privacy law.
Leanne is licensed to practice in Alberta and British Columbia. While she is now based in Edmonton, she maintains a presence in Vancouver and continues to provide legal services in B.C.
