Liam McCarthy is the Director of the Negotiations and Programs Branch (NPB) at the Public Service Alliance of Canada. As NPB Director, Liam manages the negotiations, research, pensions and benefits, classification and pay equity, human rights, and health and safety portfolios. In his 21-year career at the PSAC, Liam has worked as a researcher, national negotiator, and as a front-line manager prior to becoming the Director of the Negotiations and Programs Branch in 2019. Liam’s academic background includes a master’s degree in political science and an Honours B.A. in International Relations from the University of Windsor.
