Marilyn Nairn has over forty years of experience in labour relations. After her call to the Ontario Bar, she practiced labour law for a number of years before joining the Ontario Labour Relations Board as counsel. She was appointed a Vice-Chair of the OLRB in 1989, adjudicating in that capacity for nine years. Since 1998, she has conducted an active private arbitration and mediation practice involving disputes in a wide range of workplaces in both the private and public sectors.

Marilyn holds part-time appointments as an Arbitrator at the Grievance Settlement Board and a Vice-Chair of the Public Service Grievance Board and is currently the Alternate Chair of the GSB. She has chaired various judicial remuneration commissions, involving Justices of the Ontario Court of Justice, Justices of the Peace, and Deputy Judges.

Marilyn is a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators, a member and Past President of the Ontario Labour-Management Arbitrators’ Association and is a former Chair and Executive member of the Labour Section of the Ontario Bar Association.
