Marino Sveinson is a partner at Pulver Crawford Munroe in Vancouver. Marino has practised exclusively in the area of workplace law throughout his career. He represents employers in all aspects of workplace law in union and non-union environments in both the provincial and federal sectors. Marino represents employers on human rights matters, wrongful dismissal matters, labour relations issues, collective agreement grievances, employment contract drafting and interpretation, privacy obligations including access to information requests, workers’ compensation, corporate restructuring and acquisitions, and disputes over obligations of departing employees.

Marino has represented clients at all levels of the courts in B.C., federal courts, collective agreement arbitrations, human rights tribunals, provincial and federal labour relations boards, workers’ compensation tribunals, and regarding complaints to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of British Columbia. Marino has been recognized for several years in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in Workplace Human Rights – Employer, and Workers’ Compensation – Employer; ranked in Chambers Canada for employment and labour law in B.C. since 2019, and recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada – Labour and Employment since 2021.

Marino holds an LL.B. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. from the University of British Columbia. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2000 and the Yukon Bar in 2014.
