Megan Ashbury is a labour arbitrator and mediator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. For over two decades, Megan has helped people navigate complex workplace issues with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

Since 2021, Megan has focused exclusively on labour arbitration, mediation and workplace conflict resolution in both the public and private sectors. In 2023, she was added to the Collective Agreement Arbitration Bureau (CAAB) Register of Arbitrators in British Columbia, a recognition of impartiality, neutrality, and a broad, community-trusted skill set. She also has been a mediator for the BC Human Rights Tribunal since 2022. She brings a grounded, balanced approach rooted in fairness, respect, and real-world solutions.

Prior to establishing her arbitration and mediation practice, Megan worked on a range of labour, employment, and human rights matters, with a focus on unionized workplaces. She is also informed by her experience with disability and accommodation, collective-bargaining (both union- and management-side), workers’ compensation, and privacy law.

Megan brings her unique combination of union- and management-side experiences to foster relationships between diverse parties, and find effective, practical, and durable solutions for all parties to a dispute. In her more than twenty years as legal counsel, she has earned a reputation for acting with integrity, bringing a balanced, trauma-informed approach. In finding the way forward, her approach is pragmatic, responsive, and respectful.
