She/Her

Morgan Sim is the founder and principle of Morgan Sim Law, where she brings compassion and creative pragmatism to her work assisting clients with sensitive legal issues, many of which relate to their human rights. Her practice includes employment law, administrative law, sexual harassment and assault, disability accommodations and benefits, professional licensing and discipline, and advisory work with an emphasis on matters that arise in the workplace or in educational institutions. Morgan provides representation and advice to private companies, public institutions, municipalities, employees, executives, trade unions, and their members. She is also regularly engaged to conduct sensitive human rights or harassment investigations or to provide trainings, including in her capacity as a workplace investigator, Safe Sports Officer or investigator, and as an Integrity Commissioner for a major school board.

Prior to founding Morgan Sim Law in 2025, Morgan co-founded another boutique firm which was repeatedly listed by the Globe & Mail as one of “Canada’s Best Law Firms” in the areas of human rights and employment law. Prior to that, Morgan worked at two of Toronto’s leading employment law and litigation boutique firms. Morgan has worked on cases before all levels of court in Ontario and has also had the privilege of assisting with landmark cases before the Supreme Court of Canada, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and the High Court of Kenya.

Morgan’s community involvement also focuses on advancing human rights. She is long-time volunteer and current chair of the Board of Directors for The Equality Effect which works to end impunity for sexual violence and advance the rights of women and girls, including in Kenya, Ghana, and Malawi. She is a member of the Association of Human Rights Lawyers as well as the Ontario Bar Association, where she serves as the past chair for the Constitutional, Civil Liberties, and Human Rights Law section.
