Nancy MacLean is a Regional Representative – Health & Safety in the Atlantic Region for the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC). Nancy has been employed with the union for 30 years. Nancy is also a facilitator with the PSAC – Treasury Board Joint Learning Program (JLP) on the Occupational Health and Safety program delivering training to workplace health and safety committees in the federal public service. She has facilitated more than 35 workshops with the JLP in the last two years.
In addition, to her health and safety portfolio she is also the staff advisor to the PSAC Atlantic Council Health & Safety Committee.
Nancy volunteers with several community organizations. She is currently the vice-president of the Birchtown Historical Association that is working to memorialize this forgotten Black community located in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. Nancy works to address challenges that impact worker and community rights.
