Nancy Schlesinger has spent most of her career at the Alberta Labour Relations Board, working alongside the Board’s dedicated staff and members. She started as the Board’s legal counsel in 1999, followed by appointments as vice-chair in 2002, Essential Services Commissioner in 2019, and chair in 2021. Prior to working for the Board, Nancy worked as legal counsel at the Alberta Court of Appeal, where she assisted the appeal justices with their work. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta Law School and clerked for the Alberta Court of Appeal and Court of Queen’s Bench before being called to the Bar in 1995.
