Randy Bauslaugh has been involved in many of the leading pension and benefit cases over the past 40 years. Since 2023, Randy has limited his practice to advice relating to pension and institutional investment and governance issues. While he currently manages an independent pensions and benefits practice, he is also “of counsel” to the U.S. law firm Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP, which specializes in complex securities litigation on behalf of investors such as pension and other institutional funds. Randy is considered a leading legal expert in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) legal risk and governance management.

Randy is a respected speaker on pension issues in Canada, the U.S., Europe, the Caribbean, and Africa, particularly on climate change and other systemic ESG risks and opportunities. He has been a leader of several professional and industry associations, including the International Pension & Employee Benefits Lawyers Association and the Canadian National Exhibition Association. He has hands-on experience as a pension and benefit fund trustee, and as a member of the advisory board of a data management company. He is listed in Who’s Who Legal: Canada, International Who’s Who Legal, Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Best Lawyers in Canada, and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He enjoys the highest rating granted to lawyers for professional competence and integrity in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

Randy holds a B.A. from the University of Waterloo and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1983.
