Since his call to the Bar in 2002, Russell MacCrimmon has provided legal advice and representation to employers. Russell advises employers on the day-to-day legal issues that impact the workplace. He represents employers on workplace issues such as discipline, performance management, employment contracts, workplace policies, and severance packages.

Russell has extensive litigation experience and regularly defends employers against wrongful dismissal and human rights claims. Russell has appeared before federal and provincial courts and administrative tribunals including the Ontario Superior Court, Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Federal Court of Canada, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, and the Public Service Labour and Employment Board.

After graduating from the Queen’s University Law School in 2001, Russell returned home to Ottawa where he was born and raised. He was called to the Nunavut Bar in 2019 and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and County of Carleton Law Association.
