Sara Malkin is a Partner at Mathews, Dindsale & Clark LLP. Sara works on a wide range of labour relations matters, including the preparation of employment contracts, the interpretation of collective agreement language, policy drafting and implementation, discipline, wrongful dismissal actions, and grievance arbitration. Sara has represented employers before the Ontario Superior Court, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and Tribunal. She frequently represents employers at the bargaining table, in both the private and public sectors. Sara is counsel to both provincially and federally regulated employers throughout Ontario, in a wide range of industries. In particular, Sara has extensive experience in manufacturing, warehousing, community services, and not-for-profit organizations.
Sara frequently speaks at professional conferences and provides in-house training sessions. She is often retained to share her expertise in the area of workplace harassment, including sexual harassment. In this regard, Sara is regularly retained to conduct and advise on the conduct of workplace investigations. Sara’s passion for employment law and education led her to co-facilitate the Employment Law Course at Queen’s University from 2015 to 2017.
Sara holds a J.D. and a B.A. (Hons.) from the University of British Columbia. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012
