Sebastien Anderson was called to the bar in both British Columbia and Alberta. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta, prior to which he studied labour relations at Athabasca University and the Labour College of Canada. Sebastien is the principal of the Labour Rights Law Office – a virtual law firm – practising law primarily in the fields of labour, employment, human rights, and administrative law in addition to civil litigation. In 2017, the B.C. Branch of the Canadian Bar Association awarded the Innovative Workplace Award to the Labour Rights Law Office.
A significant part of Sebastien’s practice since 2001 has involved representing nurses in the Province of British Columbia. Sebastien has acted as counsel on a broad range of issues before arbitration boards, labour relations boards, the superior and appellate courts in both Alberta and B.C., as well as a variety of administrative tribunals in the public sector (both federally and provincially), the private sector, and the construction industry in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.
