Seema Lamba has been a human rights officer with the Public Service Alliance of Canada for over 20 years. Among other accomplishments, she has extensive experience in human rights and employment equity at the federal level, specializing in anti-racism and disability rights. She provides training, guidance, and support on human rights to members, union representatives, and leaders. She sits on joint union-manager employment equity committees which look at barriers and impact of employment systems on equity groups under the federal Employment Equity Act. She also sits on the Accessibility Standards Canada’s Standard Development Committee on Employment.
Seema is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. She sits on the Advisory Committee on Equity for an Ottawa school board and is involved in providing support to different community organizations on their equity initiatives.
