She/Her

Sevda is Legal Coordinator with the Ontario Nurses’ Association. Aa part of the Litigation Team, she provides representation across Ontario with respect to all labour relations matters, including addiction and disability accommodation, workplace harassment, discrimination and Long Term Disability disputes. She has obtained several significant rulings related to individual and collective rights of the membership but takes particular satisfaction in the positive impact that successfully negotiated settlements have on the life of nurses facing adversity in the workplace.

Prior to joining ONA in 2015, Sevda worked at a busy litigation firm devoted to promoting access to justice and serving marginalized and immigrant communities. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011 where she was a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services (PCLS) and also acted as Research Assistant to PCLS’s Academic Director.
