As Canadian Counsel to the United Steelworkers, Shaheen Hirani is the union’s general counsel in Canada and Head of the Legal Department of its Canadian National Office. She provides legal and strategic advice to union officers and staff across the country. Shaheen has litigated cases on behalf of the union before arbitrators, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and other provincial Labour Relations Boards, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunals, as well as other administrative tribunals and courts.
