Steve Stringfellow has been a labour relations practitioner for nearly 20 years. In 2015, he joined the Alberta Public Service with his first assignment in the Ministry of Labour.
In 2017, after serving across an additional five Ministries, Steve moved to the newly established Provincial Bargaining and Compensation Office in Treasury Board and Finance where he was appointed lead negotiator for the Government of Alberta, lead negotiator for the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association, lead negotiator for Justice in discussions with the Alberta Crown Attorneys’ Association, and supported Health in negotiations with the Alberta Medical Association.
Now serving as the Assistant Deputy Minister, Labour Relations Policy and Programs, Steve is responsible for the day-to-day labour relations functions of the Government of Alberta in addition to continuing to serve as the government’s negotiator in bargaining with Alberta Public Service employees. Prior to joining the Government of Alberta, Steve was a negotiator responsible for bargaining numerous public and private sector collective agreements, and originally started his career as a Paramedic.
