
Susanna Quail is the principal of Allevato Quail & Associates where she works with a small and dedicated team of progressive lawyers on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw, and səlilwətaɬ territory aka East Vancouver. She primarily practises union-side labour law, representing clients across the public and private sectors. Before becoming a lawyer, she worked as a teacher and researcher and has been a member and activist in CUPE and the BC Teachers Federation. She is a second-generation labour lawyer and spent her childhood on picket lines. She has served on the board of the Migrant Workers Centre, a legal clinic in Vancouver, since 2014. In 2021, she was awarded the Canadian Bar Association Equality and Diversity Award in recognition of her advocacy for migrant workers.
