Thom Yachnin is a partner at Victory Square Law Office. He joined the firm in 2024 after working for several years as executive director with a major public sector union. Prior to that, he worked as in-house counsel for two public sector unions and practised with a prominent union-side labour law firm in the Maritimes.
Thom has experience representing clients before labour arbitrators, labour boards, and at all levels of court, including the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He also has experience leading collective bargaining and developing bargaining proposals.
Thom is dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of working people in British Columbia and provides respectful and firm advocacy for his clients. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University and was called to the bar in Nova Scotia in 2007, in British Columbia in 2009, and in Ontario in 2012.
