Troy Winter is a Senior Officer, Health and Safety for the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). As a Certified Registered Safety Professional, Troy works out of the National office in Ottawa, assisting CUPE local unions with health and safety related issues and concerns, as well as providing guidance on broader health and safety policies for the union. Troy represents labour interests as he chairs or participates on numerous international, national, and provincial committees and standard development technical committees, including being the chair of the Canadian Standards Association Strategic Steering Committee for Health and Safety and the Head of the Canadian mirror committee delegation for ISO/TC 283 committee. Troy has spoken at numerous national and international health and safety conferences and written or co-authored over 40 health and safety related articles for numerous publications.
