Veronica Ukrainetz is associate counsel with Ascent Employment Law. After practising for over 25 years, and running her own firm, Ukrainetz Workplace Law Group, for 16 years, in June 2023 Veronica merged her firm with Ascent Employment Law. Veronica also provides mediation services, is a member of ADRBC, and a former B.C. Human Rights Tribunal mediator.
Veronica began her career in Vancouver, and since 1999 has been based out of the Okanagan. Her clients are primarily employers, many of whom involve her not only as legal counsel, but also as a strategic business partner. Veronica brings a thoughtful, practical, and creative approach to solving complex challenges, which enables her clients to enjoy productive long-term working relationships with their employees and union partners.
Outside of work, Veronica enjoys outdoors and fitness pursuits, and likes to wind down with a dog walk and yoga practice, followed by some time at her piano, or with a good book or movie, and a glass of wine.
