Victor Banfield is the Director of Negotiations and Policy for the Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA). Prior to joining HSAA, he was a Senior Manager – Negotiations and Assurances in the Provincial Bargaining Coordination Office for the Ministry of Treasury Board and Finance.
Before joining the Government of Alberta, Victor was the Director of Arbitrations, Treasurer, and negotiator for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955. Victor has acted as lead negotiator in many sectors including industrial, roadbuilding and heavy construction, manufacturing, mine support, refinery and upgrader project labour agreements, transportation, education support, and healthcare.
Victor holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.
