Andrea’s introduction to the role of neutral was through Nova Scotia’s Community Justice Society in 2009. She did further mediation training through her Bachelor of Justice Studies degree with Royal Roads University.
During her legal training both at University of New Brunswick as well as the University of West Indies, Andrea engaged in further training in alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and restorative justice.
After three years at the Nova Scotia Bar, in 2018, Andrea began work as an investigator. She has been doing this work ever since. In 2025, Andrea returned to her own practice with MacNevin Law & Mediation Inc. where she primarily offers investigation services, along with mediation and legal advocacy in workplace and human rights law.
