Jenny Neiman is the Senior Manager of the City of Toronto’s Human Rights Office. As a human rights lawyer and equity practitioner, she is committed to approaching human rights issues with an equity and reconciliation lens. Jenny is passionate about empowering organizations and individuals to be positive leaders who go beyond legislative requirements by fostering positive and respectful work and service environments.

Jenny has extensive experience developing human rights policies and programs for the City of Toronto. She has conducted numerous complex human rights workplace investigations as well as facilitating resolution processes. Recognizing the importance of proactive interventions, Jenny has produced various educational awareness campaigns and resources to build organizational capacity on a wide range of human rights issues including discrimination, harassment, accommodation, and hate activity. She also had the privilege to serve as Chair of the Board of the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights (formerly Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation) and co-founded a pro bono community tax clinic to enhance access to justice. In her spare time Jenny loves all things food related including supporting her neighbourhood restaurants and volunteering at her local food bank.

Jenny holds a B.A. (Hons.) from the University of Toronto and a J.D. from Western University. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013.
